Is the page to a total ban on alcohol in the UK well underway and is it practicable?
Yesterday the "alcohol sales regulation of prices and promotions bill" went through the Commons.not too long after the legislation that makes it unlawful for anybody in the UK to smoke in a pub or in their workplace. That followed the ban on smoking on board aeroplanes, trains and buses throughout the UK. Yet if anybody had suggested during the 60s-80s that there might one day be such a ban in the UK made law they would have been considered idiots. ,Likewise many will argue that the idea of banning alcoholic beverages being drunk in pubs or restaurants or workplaces or anywhere in public is totally ridiculous and never likely to happen. Yet such a ban does already exist in some other countries, such as Saudi Arabia, where in any bar in the country only non alcoholic drtinks may be sold. In UK alcohol seems to be becoming just as "politically incorrect" as smoking was, and at a time when Islamism is becoming more politically correct . So will an alcohol ban will soon be UK law too?
