Fiance beat me Need advice please?

My fiance beat me two days ago, then again in the morning, he was drunk and said he would do it again, but then he did it again while I was driving, broke my rear View mirror and spit on me, I left last night and came to a friends house, but last night he went back to his ex and slept there and he has not called me at all today, Ive been sober for 2 years, we dated for a year when he was in sober and in recovery (working steps, going to meeting ETC. ) but know he is drinking and banging roxy's. He never hit me while he was sober, but he isn't now. I know every one is going to say get out leave dont go back, he will do it again. I don't want to go back but i need advice on how to deal with this pain of him being with his ex, im with friends and trying to do the next right thing but im just really a mess right now.
