How much you think We'll receive????

Ok, here's the thing. My mom did liposuction, in a hospital of course, and she ended up coming back to home ( later then expected) and was vomiting and whining that her throat was hurting. We called the main surgeon and we received several medicine but it still didnt work. Then we took her to another hospital (after calling the surgeon several times) and they found out that she has her esophogas(throat) torn. She was in the brink of dying. She was operated and was under sevral antibiotics. After a month my mom returned home and we already talked to a lawyer to get madical records but i want to know from your opinion if it is a win win situation for us and if so how much are we talking about with money? To me, it seems the guy who puts the tubes down your throat during an operation is the guilty one here because there's no other logical explanation to have your esophagus torn after a liposuction...
