My friends and I are planning a holiday to Saudi Arabia and Syria?

There are 12 of us going and I don't want to be the one to say, but one of my friends is gay, and I'm sort of worried about him. I'm sure that I'm aware of Human Rights there. Should we have a change of destination to avoid all kinds of trouble?
